Hey Bloggers, 

This is a post on a book I read in lockdown. It is called 'A cat called Penguin' by Holly Webb. It is about a cat that a boy finds on his door step and he keeps it and they call it Penguin because it looked like a Penguin. Then the cat goes missing when they have new neighbours. Will they find it in the end? 

I like this book because it has cats in it and cats are my favourite animal. This book is a good book to read because it is a pretty long book to keep you busy and has a couple of pictures. I think it is about 8/10 and 6+.

My Matariki story

This is my post on my book about matariki. I may be putting it in a contest or mabey not. This is my story below. Please comment, Hope you like the story.

Matariki to Moon

One day there was a space crew with 6 people on the shuttle. The shuttle was called Lunar 12. It was mostly white but the cockpit was black. In the shuttle the people were called; James, Max, Jhon, Billy, Bob and Chauls. Chauls was the one who kept spewing. “Stop spewing or just hold it in!” Said Billy. “Sorry” Said Charles quietly. James the  driver yelled out “ASTEROID FIELD!” all the crew ran to the drop pod. Everyone except Charles got in the pod. “Sorry there is not enough space” Bob lied happily.

Chauls Sprinted to the equipment room and pulled on a space suit. He ran to the main hatch and grabbed some space food and water on the way. But then his stomach felt bad. He needed to spew. So he puked in the toilet. But there was not enough time to get to the hatch. Then the spaceship exploded. Chauls was floating in space with a space suit and a backpack. He saw the others in the drop pod. He tried waving for help but they just ignored him. He was starting to get really worried.

He was floating in space really worried when he spotted the moon. He swam to the moon and then landed. He walked around the moon for 1 hour and then found the american flag and the footprints from neil armstrong and buzz aldrin. He lay there and wrote SOS on the moon.

One day later he woke up and took another walk. He had already draken half of his water and eaten half of his food.  When he was walking he fell into a deep dark crater. He sat there really worried. He tried to get out but it was no use, He could not see anything. Then he just remembered! He had a flashlight on his space suit. He turned it on and looked around. He was starting to get really scared. Then he thought he should have a sleep. 12 Hours later he woke up to 8 bright lights. He stared at them and figured it was matariki. Then he was really happy he was found by the stars. Then the stars came to him and took him out of the crater and then he became brighter himself. Suddenly he figured it out. He was going to be the 9th star, Pohutukawa.
